Alice has every reason to have such a big smile on her face, after all she's the new acoustic sensation! At only 20 she is already heading for the musical spotlight. After a few late night gigs in Lincoln and Leicester I finally have time for a quick chat with her!

How are you feeling this morning after 3 late nights in a row?!
Well it’s been hard! Me and the band I’m touring with mostly sleep all day to get ready for the evening. The only thing that keeps me going is my fans and atmosphere that they create when I’m playing. I love them all for it.

What was it like performing in front of so many people?
At first it was nerve racking! One time I suddenly stopped in front of about 50 people when I was doing a small gig back in Portsmouth and I couldn’t bring myself back to singing! I’ve never been that great with crowds, but after some confidence building and practising I was a lot better!

After your huge hit ‘Drift Away’ is it going to be hard to bring out a new song that will do as well?
It will probably be hard because a lot of people love my first official single, but as long as my fans have faith in me they should like my following songs as well. I like writing songs in my own style and hopefully that will continue throughout other songs in the future, which will connect to my fans. I will tell you that my next single soon to be released is called ‘Love is no Crime’ so what out for it soon.
When did you first become interested in playing the acoustic guitar?
Well I’ve grown up with a family full of music. My older brother plays the piano and my dad plays the guitar, which has helped me with my music. My dad taught me to play the guitar when I was very young and from then on I have been constantly attached to my guitars.
I heard you say guitars? How many do you have and what sort?
I have about 6 guitars in total but I keep buying new ones and selling my old ones on! Right now I have Sanden guitar and three Taylor guitars and my two favourites are Gibson’s.

Very nice!
So, I need to ask, why did you name your album ‘The Chronicles’?
Well I think that most of my songs on the album tell stories about made up people or from my own or friends experiences. To be truthful I found it very hard to think up a name for my album, but after a deep thought about my songs I finally came up with this.
One random question, is there anything you prefer than music?!
Well there's obviously my family and friends! I couldn't have made the music I done without them. Although sometimes I think I love my guitar more than my boyfriend! [laughs] But don't print that!
